Bettys Harlow Carr
At Our Angels, we know the power of community. When people come together with kindness, generosity, and a shared vision, real change happens.
That’s why we were delighted to be chosen as Bettys Harlow Carr’s Charity of the Year over the past year. Their support has been nothing short of incredible, and last week, Emma had the honour of attending the Bettys and Taylors Charity Handover Event to receive an incredible donation of £6,161.
From the very beginning, Bettys Harlow Carr and their customers embraced our cause with open hearts. They have hosted incredible fundraising events, raising awareness and vital funds to support families navigating the heartbreak of baby loss. Their efforts mean that we can continue to:
💙 Provide essential support for grieving families – No one should face loss alone. Our resources, provision of specialist bereavement counselling, and guidance help parents and loved ones through the most difficult times.
💙 Train professionals to deliver compassionate care – We work closely with midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that those experiencing loss receive the best possible support.
💙 Advocate for safer pregnancies – Through education and awareness, we aim to reduce preventable losses and give every baby the best possible start in life.
Donations like this also help us fund specialist bereavement counselling with Petals, ensuring that families receive the emotional and psychological support they need during such a difficult time. Additionally, contributions allow us to provide specialist equipment to both the antenatal and labour wards at Harrogate District Hospital, improving the care and support available to families facing pregnancy loss.
This donation isn’t just a number. It represents compassion, care, and a commitment to change. It means that more families will have the support they need. It means that more professionals will be equipped with the right training. It means that we can continue working towards a future where fewer families experience loss.
