Our Campaign
At Our Angels Charity, we’re on a mission to support families through pregnancy and baby loss. This year, we’re focused on raising funds for our scanner appeal for portable scanning unit for Harrogate District Hospital’s antenatal and labour wards.
Why This Equipment Matters
This mobile ultrasound unit will provide vital support for expectant parents, especially those experiencing pregnancy after loss. It offers safety, reassurance, and the ability to make informed decisions, ensuring the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies.
“A new portable ultrasound scanner would be invaluable in supporting the care and practice within our maternity unit at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. With this incredibly generous funding, this ultrasound machine will enable our maternity unit to provide timely, accurate, and compassionate care on both our delivery suite and in the antenatal clinic. It will allow for immediate assessments, ensuring that pregnant people receive the necessary monitoring and reassurance during critical moments.
This new ultrasound scanner will be especially beneficial in supporting a Rainbow or Pregnancy after Loss clinic, offering a vital tool for the midwifery and obstetric teams to provide bedside ultrasound scans to women who are pregnant following a previous baby loss. This will offer immediate reassurance and personalised care. it will also not only support with clinical decision making, but also provide emotional support to families navigating the complexities of pregnancy after loss, ensuring they feel seen, supported, and confident in the care they receive.

The platform takes most major credit and debit cards. We also accept Cheques made payable to “Our Angels Charity & Support Group’.
How is my donation used?
With your support on this campaign, we are raising funds for a this amazing yet fundamental piece of equipment. This mobile scanner will be used on both the antenatal and labour wards at Harrogate Distract Hospital.
Its advanced technology can give vital insights into the health of the baby and the wellbeing of the mum, especially those who have already suffered loss in previous pregnancies. It will give the medical team insights and informed information to both provide early intervention as well as much needed reassurance for expectant parents.
Do you keep us updated on how donations are spent?
Yes, we will update you via our website news page and our Social Media channels to inform you of how kind donations have been utilised, how much has been raised and once our goal has been reached, how they have made a difference to peoples lives.
